We were very anxious to have him home and so, we made the situation work as best as we were able. I do think, however, better communication with the family would have assisted us in being ready for the transition from my father's rehabilitation stay to his return home. I think that for short term rehabilitation the therapy staff is mostly a positive. They did their job well and worked to prepare my father to return home.

Among the upgrades was the addition of two large therapy rooms. Unfortunately, they were restricted to using a former patient double room during my stay. It wasn't ideal, but they made it work by scheduling patients at staggered times. The therapists, both Physical and Occupational, were all great.

Now I come to find out that when they transferred my mother a lot of her clothes were missing I spoke to the manager of housekeeping a month ago and he said he would look into it. It appears that their phones are not working for sometime. My grandmother's feet and legs were swollen, the bottom of them were turning purple. I had to tell her for 3 days before I finally went to Jennifer and Matt when they came back in from the weekend off. The PA came the next morning to check my grandmother and review the results, which she didn't even remember that she approved with Jennifer. Then took until after 10pm to put the orders in the computer for medication to help my grandmother, who was deteriorating.I suggested that she go back to the hospital because it was clear they could not care for her there. Matt didn't want that (I'm sure they wanted to get as much insurance money possible or to save face).
